When you purchase a vehicle, protecting its most critical components is essential. That’s why Equitas created the Core Coverage Plan—a simple, affordable way to cover the parts of your vehicle that matter most.

Equitas Core Coverage Plans focus on high-cost, high-impact components, helping you avoid expensive repairs without stretching your budget. With just three straightforward coverage levels, these plans are designed to be easy to understand while still delivering exceptional value.

For example, the average cost to repair an engine can exceed $6,000 (based on 2026 repair data). With a Core Coverage Plan, covered engine repairs are paid in full (minus any applicable deductible), giving you confidence and financial protection.

Like all Equitas plans, Core Coverage include industry-leading limits of liability, based on the J.D. Power and Associates value of your vehicle at the time of sale, with per-claim limits based on the vehicle’s value at the time of repair.

Coverage Levels

Please note: Coverage Levels below may be named differently depending on dealer, state, or lender.
1. Drivetrain Enhanced Coverage
Includes everything in Drivetrain Plus and Drivetrain, plus:

-Enhanced Electrical: Power window motors and regulators, power door lock actuators, power trunk switch, and power antenna motor
-Cooling System:Cooling fan, cooling fan motors, and fan clutch
- Fuel System: Fuel pump, fuel injection pump, metal fuel lines, fuel pressure regulator, fuel sending unit, and fuel gauge
- Air Conditioning: Condenser, compressor, and evaporator (Orifice tube and accumulator/receiver dryer covered when required for a covered repair)
- Seals & Gaskets:
Covered only when required in connection with a covered repair
2. Drivetrain Plus Coverage
Includes everything in Drivetrain Coverage, plus:

- Electrical: Alternator, voltage regulator, heater fan, starter motor, starter solenoid, and starter drive
- Air Conditioning: Condenser, compressor, and evaporator (Orifice tube and accumulator/receiver dryer covered when required for a covered repair)
- Seals & Gaskets: Covered only when required in connection with a covered repair
3. Drivetrain Coverage
Covers the essential mechanical components of your vehicle:

- Engine (Gas/Diesel): Internally lubricated parts including pistons, crankshaft, camshaft, valves, oil pump, and more
Engine block and cylinder heads are covered if damaged by a covered internal failure
- Turbo/Supercharger (Factory Installed):
Internally lubricated parts. Housing covered if damaged by internal failure
- Transmission/Transaxle: All internally lubricated parts, including torque converter. Case covered if damaged by internal failure
- Drive Axle: Internally lubricated parts. Housing covered if damaged by internal failure
- Transfer Case (4x4): Internally lubricated parts. Covered if failure is caused by a covered internal component
- Seals & Gaskets: Covered only when required in connection with a covered repair
